I began weaving in 1981 serving as an apprentice to another weaver, Jackie Fisher. After working with her for a couple of years, reading books and an intense workshop at Davis and Elkins College in Elkins, WV, I decided to market and sell my own work in area shops and arts festivals. In 2004 I stopped doing festivals and focused on the gallery, the artists that I show and my own work.
My designs are simple but my vivid use of color make them unique. My focus is on the functional side of weaving but many of my rugs and runners are suitable for hanging on the wall. I welcome commissions and will work with you to create the weaving you have in mind.
A few examples of my weaving are on this page but I invite you to visit Gallery on 43rd Street to see others and discuss your needs.
