Food for Thought is about photographing people’s meals in the environment where they eat. By photographing other people’s meals, I am essentially photographing their personality. People’s meals and what they like to eat are incredibly personal to them. By getting into this intimate space I am able to learn more about who my subjects are at their core. You can tell a lot about a person by what they eat. The differences in people’s choices of food may tell more about them than a simple portrait could. In executing this I am both learning and displaying my subject’s deep inner working of who they are as a person through their food.
